Swinton Moorside CC

Welcome to the home page for Swinton Moorside CC - 2010 & 2011 Winners of the Manchester Association Premier League

Swinton Moorside Cricket Club has been playing cricket in the area for over 100 years. We currently have four senior teams. Our First and Second XI’s play every Saturday in the Manchester and District Cricket Association (MDCA). In addition we have two Third XI’s who play on Sundays, one in the MDCA and the other in the North Manchester Cricket League.

In 2011 the first team won the Manchester Association Premier League for the second year running. They also won the HC Smith Cup and the 20/20 Cup. The third team won Frank Bailey cup.

The club runs a vibrant junior section with sides at under 11, 12, 14, 16 and 18 age groups. The club is committed to the development of cricket in the area, being an active member of Salford Youth Cricket Development group. All our coaches are ECB qualified and each year we actively seek to increase the number of internal coaches. The club actively seeks to integrate junior players into the senior sides.

We welcome players of all ages and abilities. Practice nights are Mondays for juniors and Tuesday for seniors. Contact Dave Bates on 0777 8707541 (davidbates2000@aol.com) or Pete Flatley on 0788 4263411 (peter.flatley@gmpte.gov.uk)
